Expectations from Partners
In order to be truly effective and relevant in the performance delivery, the employee must take into account the needs and desires expressed by the key business partners. The whole organization is inter-connected in itÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚Â¢s operations, and in order to avoid to-and-fro later on, it is important to align the goals with the partnersÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚Â¢ expectations.
Expectations from partners refer to the key deliverables as specified by top 5 business partners. It is essentially asking your customer of the kind of product that he/she would like to consume and then producing that. In context of the employee goal-sheet, this implies that the employee must first have a clear awareness of who are his/her business partners and that it is important to ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã¢â‚¬Å“carryÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â them along. Hence, it is important to interact with them and clearly ascertain what is it, that they are looking for. KRAs, core responsibilities and initiatives then need to be modified to deliver these expectations. In other words, performance needs to be geared to the business alignment with key business partners. Development of such synergistic goal-alignment increases the overall execution velocity of the organization and reduces wastages due to subsequent reconciliations.
