Performance Scorecard Aligned to goal-sheet

Goal-Sheet

An employee, team, function and enterprise works best when he/she knows on what he has to do, what will be the success criteria and what are the priorities, and above all how he will build further skills & knowledge to "make it happen"?

Performance Scorecard Aligned to goal-sheet

Performance score-card must mirror the goal-sheet and for obvious reasons. It is an assessment tool for measuring performance to achieve the goals as defined in the goal sheet. Both reinforce the buy-in of each other.

Just like a structured approach is followed for designing the goal sheet, the same should be followed for performance score cards as well. Performance score-cards are like professional report-cards of the employee. What is even more important is to have congruency between the goal-sheet and the performance score card. The score card must measure the achievement in exactly the same manner as was designed in the goal sheet. It should have assessment parameters laid out in the same structure or format in which the goal sheet was designed. This includes learning and development sections too. This congruency between the two reinforces each other’s position and acceptance in the organization.
