Combined Ranking on goals- competencies
Even though goals and leadership competencies are assessed and ranked separately, from an organizational perspective, the employee must be given one single rating as a measure of his/her overall performance during the last performance cycle.
Combined ranking on goals and competencies refer to a single rating which incorporates both the actual performance on the KRA target as well as the level of the leadership competencies assigned to the position. Both elements are measured using ranks. The final combined rating can be arrived at using a weighted average model which assigns different weights to goals and leadership competencies depending upon their relative importance which is in turn determined by the position of the role in the organizational hierarchy. A combined ranking makes it easy for the employee to place him/her self in the overall performance spectrum.
